Build your event website

A public site that keeps itself current, built from the data you already entered.

Every event gets a public website at grfm.to, built from what you have already entered: the lineup, ticket types, FAQs, news and merch all appear without being retyped. The Website Builder is where you shape how it looks and reads.

How editing works

Open Website Builder under Create. The left side is a live preview of your site and the right side is the inspector for whatever you have selected. Click an element in the preview to select it, click again to select the container around it, and double-click text to edit it in place. The inspector moves a block up or down, duplicates it, deletes it, and adds new blocks inside the current one.

Blocks come in two kinds. Content blocks are the ordinary furniture: headings, paragraphs, buttons, images, video loops and sliders, arranged in sections, cards and grids. Live blocks pull real data at the moment a visitor loads the page: your lineup, tickets, merch, news, FAQs, a countdown, your history timeline, the site map and a subscribe form. You never copy your lineup onto the website, you place the lineup block and it stays correct.

Most live blocks offer several layouts, so the lineup can be a grid, a poster or rows, and tickets can be passes, cards or a call-to-action band. Hover a block and use the arrows on the layout pill to try them.

Your work autosaves as you go, with the status shown in the top bar. Undo and redo are there too, but the history lives in the page, so it does not survive leaving the builder.

Pages

The page dropdown covers Home, Line-up, About, News, FAQs, History, Getting There, Accommodation, Facilities, Food & Drinks and Wellness. Tickets and merch are deliberately not editable pages: they are checkout flows, and they render from your catalogue.

Pages appear in the site's navigation only when they have something to show, so a page with no data stays out of the way rather than greeting visitors with an empty shell.

Publishing

There are two separate steps, which is the thing most people trip over:

  1. Publish the page. Each page you edit has its own Publish button, and a page you have edited but not published keeps serving its previous version.
  2. Take the site live. Your event's website visibility has to be Public before anyone outside your team can load it at all. Until then the address returns nothing.

Visibility has three settings: private, unlisted (reachable only by direct link) and public. Only public events are indexed by search engines. The site lives at grfm.to followed by your event slug, and Brand settings give you a QR code and download for that link. You can change the slug in Event Settings; links, QR codes and share cards that use the old one keep working and forward to the new address, so nothing already printed or posted breaks. Custom domains are not available yet.

The look

The site borrows everything from Brand: your logo, text, background and accent colours, and your headline and body fonts. If your event already has a website elsewhere, the Website Source tool can fetch its logo, colours, fonts and photos in one go. Brand is also where you author the information pages (getting there, accommodation, facilities, food and drink, wellness), write the about text and history timeline, and switch whole sections of the site on or off.

News and FAQs

News articles are not written in the News tool: you compose an announcement with the News channel switched on and it becomes an article, which you then edit for headline, slug, excerpt, body, tags, byline and search-engine title and description. The News tool is where you manage what exists, and unpublish or republish an article. Prefer unpublishing to deleting, since deleting breaks the article's URL for good.

FAQs work by inheritance. Questions written at organisation or series level flow automatically into every event they apply to, and each event's FAQ tab lets you switch any of them on or off for the website and the app separately, or add questions that only apply to this event. If you are starting cold, Add starter FAQs fills in the ten questions every event gets asked, pre-filled from your event details.
