Getting started as an organiser

Create your organisation, set up your first event and invite your team.

EventOS is the organiser console at events.grofomo.com: one place to plan the lineup, sell tickets, publish content and reach your audience. This guide takes you from a fresh account to a working event.

Create your organisation

Sign up at events.grofomo.com. On first login you are asked to set up your organisation: it needs just a name (your promoter or company name), and everything else, including a logo, can be added later in settings. Your organisation gets its own workspace URL, shown as you type.

Once the organisation exists, you land straight in the new-event wizard.

Create your first event

The wizard walks through four steps, autosaving a draft as you go, so you can leave and pick up where you stopped:

  1. Create Event. Name your event (the public URL slug is previewed live and can be edited before you create), pick a type (Festival, Club Night or Event), optionally attach it to a series, then set the dates: timezone, single or multi-day, doors open, event end and last entry.
  2. Venue & Location. The venue name, city and region are required; address lines, postcode and country round it out. You can paste a Google Maps link instead of typing the address.
  3. Brand & Content. Logos, cover art, social links, colours and fonts. These feed everything the platform produces for you, from the public event page to generated artwork.
  4. Review & Confirm. Check the summary and hit Confirm & Create Event. You are taken to the event's workspace.

Only two things gate progress: an event name and start date on step 1, and the venue name, city and region on step 2. You can also clone a previous event, which copies its tickets, merch, FAQs and site content.

Find your way around

Inside an event, the left rail groups tools by job:

  • Plan: Lineup Builder, Bookings, Volunteers, Vendors, Suppliers, Site Map, Planner, Threads, FAQs
  • Create: My Media, Clips, Creative Studio, Website Builder, Canvas, Lineup Overlays, Content Engine, Inspiration
  • Promote: Publishing, Campaign, News, Emails, Broadcasts, and a link to your live public site
  • Sell: Tickets, Merch, Prelaunch
  • Measure: Insights, Feedback

At organisation level the tabs cover what spans events: Events, Artists, Volunteers, Vendors, Suppliers, Contacts and Segments. Tools are permission-gated per member, so a teammate may see fewer items than you do.

Invite your team

Open Team from your organisation settings and hit Invite Member: an invite needs just an email address and a role. Roles, per-event access and per-member permissions are covered in Team, roles and permissions.

Next steps

Once your lineup takes shape, invite your artists to claim their profiles: claimed artists keep their own bio, photos and links up to date, and every promoter who books them benefits.
