Send retouched artist photos
Grade an artist photo to match your event, then send it back from their lineup card for the artist to use.
Every artist card in your Lineup Builder carries a camera button that sends a retouched press shot back to the artist it came from. Most lineups arrive as a dozen photos shot in a dozen styles, and the usual fix is to re-grade them so the campaign looks like one thing. This is how that work reaches the artist, instead of living only inside your own artwork.
Send a photo
Hover over an artist's card in the Lineup Builder and click the camera, Send retouched photo. On a phone, tap the card to open its editor and choose Send photo. The dialog shows what you have sent them before, so it is obvious whether they still look off-brand. Upload your version and add a note if it needs one, such as telling them you warmed it up to match the poster.
Two suggestions travel with the photo: whether you think it should become their profile photo, and whether that should be temporary, lasting only until the event is over. Both are hints. The artist decides what actually happens to their own profile.
You can have one photo awaiting an answer per artist per event. While one is waiting, the dialog shows it with a Revoke button in place of the upload. Once they have replied you can send another, and every earlier submission stays listed underneath with what became of it.
Claimed and unclaimed artists
What happens next depends on whether the artist has claimed their profile.
If they have, they own their photo everywhere on Grofomo, so nothing changes until they accept. They get an email pointing them at it, and you are told when they answer.
If they have not, the listing photo is yours to set, so your version appears on the event website within a minute or so. The submission still waits in the background: if that artist claims their profile later, your photo is there for them to take on properly, alongside their press kit.
Temporary profile photos
An artist who accepts a temporary photo keeps it until the day after your event finishes, and their previous photo then returns on its own. It works like a seasonal profile picture on social: useful through the run-up and the weekend itself, without asking anyone to permanently change how they look everywhere else.
If they swap their photo themselves while a temporary one is running, their choice stands and nothing is put back underneath them.
Withdraw a photo
Revoke pulls back a photo the artist has not answered yet. For an unclaimed artist it also restores the listing photo you had before, unless you have changed that by hand since, in which case your newer choice is left alone.
Accepted, declined and expired submissions stay in the artist's history, with any note they sent back, so you can see what each of them decided. For the other half of this job, making a graphic per artist rather than fixing their photo, see announcement graphics.
